Ramonster's distinctive line of whimsical and finely-crafted clothing draws from the well of a slow-and-easy childhood.
Growing up in small-town California, creator Kathie Sever had the time and inclination to sew with her mother, a lovingly tolerant high-school teacher. Her father, a photographer, shared his visual sensibilities, along with a pragmatic take on fusing art and commerce.
Kathie studied fine art in college, but it was her big sister's enthusiasm for cowboys and horses—and their vivid cultural connotations—that wet Kathie's creative whistle for good. She spent post school years exploring the vanishing West, with its steep trails, switchbacks and broad red horizons.
Ramonster's launch coincided with the birth of daughter Ramona; children's clothing made for an engaging outlet for Kathie's arts and crafts. Since then, Ramona's grown up some. So has Ramonster. Now featuring one-of-a-kind indie/Americana themed clothing for men, women and children, Ramonster is one-of-a-kind.
